You’d likely prefer not to know what I think!
I don’t have an issue that it’s a chronograph. I have an issue that they are making it look like a speedy snoopy. Just be original.
Of all the manufactures out there, lack of originality is not a problem I’d associate with Timex. They have been firing on all cylinders with fun new, in some cases gutsy, new designs for the last ten years. Were you offended by the Swatch knockoffs?
Yes I agree with you, most brands out there are doing some form of homage, doesn’t mean I have to like it.
I don’t get offended, I just don’t like homage watches. Brands have come up with original designs for years, there are more designs to be had out there. I’m sure with a little bit of creativity, timex could have done something better.
The other dress pieces with snoopy are cool.
The Q sub brand brand is edgy to begin with. To be honest, the design is very Q … I don’t see an homage … I see a Q Timex . I think it is way overdone though.
Timex recently produced many interesting pieces that may appeal to many. I am actually quite happy to see how this brand (that has a long history since 1854) is developing. Indeed it has had a long association with Peanuts as Larry wrote. Those Marlin automatics are super fun, I have been looking at them for quite some time.
I find the watch I posted very nice. It does look like speedy and it is busy, but it is also undeniably Timex. I am not buying it (yet 😀), I have enough watches in rotation and I am trying to cherish them more instead of getting new pieces. I will write about some of them later.
