Thoughts on this larger Tricompax?

Hi guys,

Came across this good looking example and wanted to get your thoughts. Seller has said he bought it from a guy who's grandfather had it in a safe for most of it's life. To his knowledge no work has been done on it.

Numbers appear correct and it's the larger size which i've been looking for but wanted to see what you all thought. It's on the pricey side but willing to entertain it if it all checks out.

Thanks

I sold one like it with an original Girard Perregaux dial, $4500.

I think a $4500 offer is fair, hope seller agrees!

That dial is in great shape, and I agree $4500 is a fair offer for a 37mm example.

Hi guys,

Still trying negotiate on this. The seller won't budge on $US5500 (£3500) I think this one is way too expensive.

What do you all think?

Price is still quite high but...that doesn't make it a bad buy.

They're not making any more of these last time I checked. No doubt another example will come up for sale. In this condition or better? Who knows when. Maybe tomorrow, maybe next year.

Personally, I am not buying watches as investment (although that can be a nice bonus) and will pay up, within reason, for an example I really want.

You've just said you think it is way too expensive... and so may have answered your own question. Either way, good luck with your hunt!

The dial is in an exceptionnal condition ! Probably changed considering the pitted case around the pushers.
In my opinion, the price is correct.
Good luck, don't negociate too much...

Be patient, I would not go that high, one will come along for a more
fair price ? The dial looks nice, but the condition of the case does
not warrant $5,500. Totally mint maybe worth that, but in my opinion
not in this case.

Awesome watch, I want to add one like it to my (small but ever-growing) collection some day! Did you end up negotiating a deal or holding off?
