The White Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch - Better Than The Silver Snoopy Award?

The white speedmaster was my first “real” watch. I love it. Would I rather have a snoopy? Yes. But not by much.

I can only afford one Omega and I wouldn’t sell my white one to put it towards a Snoopy, if that makes sense.

Makes absolute sense to me.

Absolutely makes sense. After a month or so of owning both the white dial and the 50th Snoopy, I can add to your rationale- the white dial is much more legible. Don’t get me wrong, I -love- the Snoopy… but the white dial is much more ‘usable’, while the Snoopy is wonderful doing what it does best- being a novelty!

My OB had a meteorite moonphase in the case. Pretty sure it wasn't just for show. I do think they are about done with 50th Snoopys after 5 years though.
I spoked with a rep in Austria. She said the 50 anniversary is not arriving lately and she thought they may be moving to a 55 anniversary.

I'm not sure a 55 (emerald) holds the same significance of a 50 (gold) myself...

I wouldn't call it better, although as everyone says it is much easier to read. I have one of each and they rotate in coolness depending on the day. The Snoopy will always be the leader of the pack (see what I did there?) because my wife surprised me with it before we were married. The Apollo program was a huge deal in my Space Nerd home growing up. My little brother and I even Trick or Treated as Astronauts the same year Apollo 13 happened.

Congrats. I love mine. Hoping to get a call today about the new FOIS, they said they should be getting them today.
I picked it up 10/27/24, just got around to updating my Avatar, so after almost a year of wearing it every day, if anything, I like it more. It's been very steady at +1 second/day. Last week I visited an AD in Lancaster PA to have a link removed, they also cleaned the Bracelet in their ultrasonic cleaner. OK, posted elsewhere but here's the obligatory wrist shot. BTY, there's still a wait list at most dealers. Don't know about OB's as the nearest one is at Philadelphia's King of Prussia Mall. 4 hour drive to and from plus insane tolls on the Pa Turnpike.

I still don't think my local AD has seen one other than mine when it went for service. Still loving mine. And wearing the FOIS right now.

I don't get to many OBs, only San Antonio and Houston in my usual bubble, but the San Antonio OB had one a few weeks ago. They are still pretty rare to see in the showcase.
