The dial looks original to me.
Yea, the stem is protruding out too far. It's too long. Trying to find the correct size so it's not so garish looking. Without the stem, the crown fits quite perfectly over the pipe so I know it fits and is correct outer dimension, but the stem itself in the crown is too long I think.

Hello omega gurus. This guide is ace. Without having the following watch in-hand and being able to see the movement/serial number, could anyone assign it to one of the models mentioned? The cross hair dial and red second hand are throwing me.

Hello! It's either 14915, 135.010 or 135.020.

Second hand is wrong. Crosshair in less commonly seen but genuine variation.

It would be best to start your own thread if you have further question.

Hi there, I’m quite new to this watch. I’m wondering if you could help me figure out which model number and year i got a hold of? My first guess would be the Swiss reference 14743 .

The watch has no date, it is the 18K variant with gold case, bracelet and dial and does feature the seahorse on the bottom, has the more „normal“ S in Seamaster and says swiss made on the bottom of the dial. The clasp is the larger variant, not as shown in the pictures for the swiss 14743.

Looking forward to your responses. Amazing work you guys have done here in this forum.

Adding a couple of my SDV, dial is quite plain Jane compared to some of the examples here, but it does have a crisp solid 14k gold case to compensate.

I thought it would be good to add my watch to this thread, since there hasn’t been any information shared about this reference yet.

It is reference 136.001, featuring an oversized case and powered by the caliber 610 movement.

Ok. So, I posted in here before and a lot of you pointed out that my stem was too long, making my crown stick out. Well, I have finally been able to work on this watch. I tore it all the way down, did a full service and fixed the crown issue. From what I can tell and have been told, the dial is original and has the wear and tear on it, but honestly. I still love it. I'm undecided if I want to even try to sell it. This is my first fully successful Omega service and man...it's turning into an obsession. So many lessons learned and so many challenges. Thank you all for the input and guidance some of you shared. If you want better pics, can do! Its a 552 movement and I'll have a video of the whole process up on my youtube shortly.

The dial is genuine. The new crown you have fitted is wrong through and doesn’t help the aesthetic of the watch.

Fairly common Seamaster DeVille from the mid-late 1960s. Hallmark on the lug suggests that the case is solid 18k gold. Should clean up nicely after a service and a new crown.
