路From this thread it's clear to see that my collection is actually quite poor 馃檨, I have a serious lack of NOS, in fact the only one that I have is this Heuer. Need to find some new contacts馃槈

路How old does a watch have to be to be considered worthy of NOS status? Out of production? Out of stock?
When I got the urge for a titanium Seamaster 300, some years ago, I tried the normal sites to find a used one. No luck - of course there were examples for sale but the money/condition index was not right. The titanium 300 was discontinued around 2005-6 from what I have heard.
I gave Swatch Group a phone call and asked them to do a search among their dealers. A couple of days later they e-mailed me and they had found an unsold Ti 300 in the south of Sweden. Another couple of days later it was mine.
It has since been sold but I hold it in warm memory and I did consider it a NOS watch when I got it.

路What great watches shown here! It麓s always something really special, when one is given the opportunity to see watches that seems like they have travelled in a time capsule to our days. I麓m a fan of vintage and corresponding wearmarks, but nonetheless I麓m thrilled to see how the watches really looked like when new and unworn.
I have only one literally NOS, unsold, watch. It麓s a Seamaster 751 from the same batch as the 751 in the possession of the creator of this thread. Unlike him I intend to keep my specimen NOS, that is I don麓t wear it. It麓s so very few vintage watches that are NOS, so I Think the few there are deserves to remain in that condition.
NOS or not, the bleeding gasket from this era is still there.....
I also have an old IWC in 18K from the 40ies that is as good as NOS. A very charming piece!

Ah - that is where the third one went! I totally respect your view - even if I have a different approach. I got my watchmaker to take care of the gaskets and he gave the movement some well needed lubrication (full service) - a must if you are going to use an old watch. All the oils were dried up/thickened.

路I know I am really pushing the NOS envelope here - but this watch was bought new a couple of weeks ago and it has not been in production since 2010. One of the endless limited editions and/but the only version that made my heart tick that extra beat. My limited photo skills does not make it justice. The dial is fantastic.
There was a reason why it was unsold until now - this version was priced out of proportion. I believe a "normal" moon watch cost in the region of 27-28 000 Swedish crowns and this version around 60-65 000. OK, it has a dial made out of something that has actually been to/in space, it has a sapphire crystal and an almost magic case back but... the price was ridiculous. Some years later the position for negotiations were better... A lot.
It came on a standard moon watch bracelet but I prefer it on a strap. This Hirsch double ridge shark suits it better in my opinion. The grey seam matches the subdials perfectly (IRL).
