Both nice, Monaco has the edge of the two for me.
It seems there were 300 boxed sets and each watch carried the same number as the set. So, set 45 of 300 had watches all numbered 45/800. That would make you think any numbered watch under 300 has come from a broken up set, probably not that straightforward though!
I wonder if some sets were actually split by Tag boutiques if they weren't selling.

There were 6 metal capsules in the set and five watches, what was in the sixth capsule?
I don't know what was in the 6th capsule, do you?

Seemed like a place holder to keep the box set looking symmetrical.

I have the German press release from back then. However, there are only 5 different versions.

No, never been able to find out!
Might have been a place holder, I hoped it might have had a commemorative plaque or a key chain or something inside.

Ha, found it on an old auction listing.
A cushion and enamel pin badge 馃憤
Well done! 馃憦馃憦馃憦

Sort of looks like a TAG Heuer logoed polishing cloth to me.

The other weird thing is the document from @mitschhe and the LOT-ART auction listing pic shows the GP Hockenheim watch. But the box set in the video I shared shows GP Malaysia in its place. Were there different box sets?

I suspect Hockenheim should be with the original set, and perhaps Malaysia came later?

I spotted that too, I wonder if there was a European/North American set and a different set for the Asian market?
I have a very vague memory of seeing a Suzuka version.

It's a good price now!
True, have some other big outlays before treating the father in law!
