I laughed at the reflection off the plates (fluorescent lighting is green in color). But then I thought "wait a minute..."

It's the million-dollar-idea: luminous movement plates!

Okay now you know why I'm not a millionaire. But if it happens...Unwound gets the cred!

Hi Al,

How often to spring bar failures happen? Is this a phenomenon more common with cheap Chinese spring bars purchased in lots of 500 for $12 bucks at Wal-Mart or eBay; or do genuine OEM spring bars abruptly fail on a regular basis like this gentleman's did?

Having both fail at once is pretty rare. I think he caught it on something to cause this. I also don't know what bats he had on this watch...

i see spring bars that are in bad shape often. Omega bars are nice and sturdy, but replacing them every couple of years is not a bad idea.
