Guys- I’m a NOOB when it comes to this.... which is why I joined

What mistake would I be making if I bought this?

Good for price reference as well from the box store

This is the second time I've seen mention of Tintins appearing in Costco - I don't recall what thread I saw it in previously, but it appears that a few are starting to pop up again in various places including ADs and OBs - the speculation is that they may be unsold returned stock which is being sent out for a second go-around. That's certainly a good price, and it's a great watch - I say go for it! Just be aware that (as far as I know) Costco is not an AD so it may not come with factory warranty. Mine says Hi!

She came home with me....
I got another 2% back which helps with a little of the tax.

For reference I found her in Houston TX and she was sitting there for a few weeks. But I didn’t see this watch around Xmas so could be correct.

This was one of the three Omegas I was looking for.

Pic of me deciding what to toast with at the house.

Now that I’m in the club- what’s the best resource for the things I want to know about this piece?

There is a tintin thread here and Fratello has a few stories on it.

They did not have any additional Omegas

This is the first Tin Tin I had ever seen in person outside of a dealers store. I actually figured due to the lawsuit that Costco would stop carrying them.

You guys will appreciate this- my 12 yr old son came and sat next to me and I put it on his wrist.

I told him this is his watch once I’m gone, and his job to pass it along to his son or grandson.

Then I pulled up a Tin Tin cartoon and he and his sister forgot I was there....

Congratulations! You can tell by the replies asking where and if they had more in stock that your purchase was a good decision. Enjoy the new watch.

Maybe a questionable factory warranty but I believe you have a damn good return policy at Costco!
I remember a few years ago that some members were talking about maybe wearing a Costco Omega for a year for free!

I'm not condoning anything except owning Omegas.

When I saw the name I immediately thought of the Tin Tin animated movies. I've run across illustrated Tin Tin stories as well. Very interesting series. You don't often see a British Civilian carrying an autoloading pistol on his adventures yet nothing is made of it.

PS
I'd forgotten that Tin Tin is in fact Belgian, the adventures I've read were all set mainly in the UK.

I think it's funny that about a year ago the TinTin was available all the time from Jomashop and other grey market dealers for less than $3K but those stocks dried up and now it's desirable.

I'd have grabbed this too. Sadly none at my Costco.
