a little bit late to the party, but has anyone fitted the rally strap FC6182 to their Dato ?
i was told it goes with the original buckle FC5042

This is FC6343 which is the rally strap from the Calibre 18 Telemeter. Just about any of the 19mm Glassbox straps should be able to fit the clasp, even the 2nd-gen glassboxes probably.

I was told that the FC6353 won't be compatible with the original clasp that comes with the watch FC5042 , which only accepts 1.6mm straps .
so I'm trying to find a compatible strap with the stock clasp .

Go with the leather strap from the 60th Anniversary Panda. Pin buckle. It's the best strap of all 10 Glassbox models.

I agree with @Anthony., the 60th Anniversary Panda's strap is my favorite for the Dato. Part number BC0992, it comes with a Heuer signed pin buckle.

Also, if you'd like a bracelet option, the Uncle Straps double grain beads of rice looks great too!

love it , i’m going to the TH boutique in Dubai mall tomorrow to order one , hope it works out , these guys are pretty unreliable .
any other recommendations on where to find it ?

If you can't order it from Dubai let me know. I've got 5 of them here. Lightly used so not brand new.

oh thank you , i’ve actually ordered one from Italy and should receive it in 2 days .
on a side note , what strap would you recommend that can fit the original clasp FC5042 ?
