I've just arrived to beautiful, cold and sunny weather in Switzerland

Don't be fooled- plenty of ordinary weather coming later in the week.

I'll be spending some time with TAG Heuer as well as at the Geneva Motorshow, where TAG Heuer will have an exhibition that looks back over 100 years of motor racing

There will also (apparently) be a new watch (or maybe two) launched here ahead of Basel- that will have a motor racing theme, which is not much of a clue given that the entire Monaco, Carrera and F1 ranges have a legitimate motor racing heritage!

That's very cool, and I'm sure that's in the literal sense 😉

It would be nice if they released something with a 70s case -- as it seems a lot of companies are coming out with "throwback" models but with updated movements.

Either way, looking forward to more of your report!

On this occasion, the Swiss watchmaker presents 2 new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Calibre 1887.
...
All elements are in place, and to celebrate this anniversary in fitting fashion, a limited edition red and black TAG Heuer Formula 1 will be on display exclusively at the show.
Any chance of seeing advanced pictures or these?

The new F1 takes its cues from the one I just got. Really like what they have done here with the colors and the NATO strap.

Yes, I like the red bezel. Very F1! I'm not sure I'd buy an expensive watch on a NATO strap, though.

I tend to agree with you, however I am liking that OEM NATO strap as an "option" to change "the look". I will order one for mine once they become available. I am sure more colors and variations will soon become available from TH as "accessories".

Many manufacturers, such as Omega, are now releasing new models on NATO.
