Introducing System Version: H Update

In the next few months, you should soon see a system update on your device! As part of this new release, here’s a list of new features and changes you’ll notice when you update:

Battery Saver Mode Updates:
This update extends your battery life even further by turning on Battery Saver to only display the time once your battery falls below 10%.

Improved Off Body Efficiency:
After 30 minutes of inactivity your watch will go into deep sleep mode to conserve battery.

Smart App Resume for all Apps:
You can now easily pick up where you left off across all apps on your watch.

Two Step Power Off:
You can now turn off your watch in two easy steps. To turn off your watch, simply hold the power button until you see the power off screen and then select 'power off' or 'restart'

As always, you can check your system information using the instructions on the Help Center article. This system version will be labeled ‘System Version: H’.

Friendly Reminder: This update will be progressively rolling out over the coming months. Your device may not immediately be eligible for this update and will be determined by your watch manufacturer. Some functionality may vary by device.

Interesting. "Android OS 8.0.0" is replaced by "System version H" in the version display shown in the original thread.

Yes, I found this odd too. I added the animated GIF to the post for reference.

It is much in line with the rebranding that started with WearOS... Google is progressively removing visible links between the branding used for phones and the one used for watches. Not that far off from Apple with watchOS vs iOS (and tvOS and macOS, they all share the same core).

Since i installed a wearOS update on my iPhone a couple of days ago that was advertised as bringing the functionality of selecting the watch faces through the app back, i have nothing but trouble. The app sometimes doesn't start, other times it freezes the phone for several minutes and the watch now disconnects several times per day. I don't know what they did but they better fix it fast as this is extremely annoying!

I've noticed the same issue with the wearOS phone app but don't have the disconnect issue. This may have something to do with the recent 12.1 IOS update as well.

I’m also working with iOS 12.1 (iPhone X) and with last version of Wear OS app in the phone (3.9.36, 2 days ago), but everythink works fine here with my CM45: App is always starting well, I have no problems with the bluetooth conection (reliable and stable as always), and I have no freezing problems with the phone... 😕

Do you often turn your phone off?
Many of us are just putting it to Flight Mode when we go to sleep, and we can stay many days without completely switching it off. The bluetooth system needs the phone to be switched off quite often (at least once a week) to properly work, otherwise it starts to loose properties... for instance it doesn’t send the agenda to the car’s hands free system.

Same here, and never in the bedroom, always in the kitchen.

Anybody already blessed with the update? Observations, insights?

A new IOS version went up yesterday. Looks to be an attempt to address this issue.

Same here. I noticed though yesterday that my battery was only 4% when i was returning from the office. In the past, it would have been around 25% after a day in the office. Also seems that the transfer frequency from Google fit from the watch to the phone has changed or something similar as i noticed the watch and phone app were not synced which i never experienced in the past.

I just got this update today. Watch UI surprisingly feels MUCH more fluid, like breathing new life into the watch.

No matter how hard I try, no update for me and my CM 41 so far 📖
