Strapcode on Seiko

Since there is no Seiko sub-forum, I will pollute the "other brands" forum with a seiko question.
I recently got a used mini-turtle and it came with a Strapcode Retro Razor bracelet (very 70's- I love it).

This is a beefy thing made of solid chunks of steel-impressively designed.

Being a vintage bracelet fan I am having a hard time with the bulk of this thing-primarily the clasp which is a whopping 6mm+ thick! I contacted Strapcode asking if they had anything slimmer than the V-clasp which came on the bracelet, and they said they did not.
The bracelet itself isn't that bad at 3.4mm thick, and I can live with the 20/18 taper it has versus the 20/16 which I love so much on my vintage bracelets, but the bulk of the clasp is a problem.
I got a cheap clasp from a friend which isn't as thick as the Strapcode clasp, but it's tolerances suck and it sticks up on the ends and clatters a bit as it is designed for a thicker bracelet (yet the 6mm Strapcode clasp didn't clatter at all and fit well.

Does anyone know of a well made slim 18mm clasp that would work on a bracelet like this? Ideally I would love a classic friction clasp but all I could find are 16mm.
Thanks

Thought for sure it was 18, dashed hopes. Measuring again, I think it鈥檚 17mm.
