Be sure to register them with Omega as well. Email Omega the serial numbers and your police report/insurance claim. If you're really lucky these will one day come in for servicing and hopefully get flagged. Fingers crossed.

I had almost my entire collection stolen January of 2021 (no luck with the police and the insurance ordeal is a whole other story! 3+ years of litigation now and counting).
Interestingly I called the omega boutique in vancouver and they informed me that although they check with omega central if a piece is stolen they wont notify police if it comes in. Im assuming there is no standard protocol then from omega ?

Hmmm, perhaps they were simply filling me with warm fuzzy BS. The person I spoke with told me that they will flag reported pieces and let the (true) owner know. I'm not 100% sure what it looks like from there but I would assume a claim would them be made as to actual ownership.

If you still retain the original paperwork and packaging (and have a police report/insurance claim) to document the theft then that should stack well in your favour. I hope!

My understanding is a mega doesn't keep a stolen watch database and I suspect too many manufacturers are the same. Has anyone ever tried to start a private database for people can report stolen watches? If you keep your records and proof of purchase for the original buyer and people work together with a worldwide database we should be able to stop some of the thieves and get some watches returned. I would be more than happy to always check such a database before I ever purchased anti-value watch and Report anything I found it looks suspicious to both the original owner and the authorities.

Yes, there are a few I think I've seen posted here over the years - this is one:

As for Omega, I do not believe they have any global database, but I have confirmed that they do have a North American database of stolen watches. However to get your watch listed you must provide them with a police report.

Very sorry to hear. I hope your watches are recovered swiftly!

Any idea on what happened?
