Hi guys,
in this topic I show you one of the limited Speedmaster editions more appreciated by collectors: the Apollo Soyuz
It was produced in 500 pieces only for Italian market to celebrate the meeting in orbit between American and Russian astronauts happened in 1975
Several of these 500 pieces don't have the right serial for a story of assembled movements
Omega only recognizes the serial 39 Millions
Mine is one of two known to have warranty ... also it has some tags
Thanks for reading
Alfredo

I wonder if you're the only member of this forum who actually owns this reference? I've seen a lot of heavy Speedmaster hitters asking about them, but I've never seen an incoming or unboxing thread for one. Looks fantastic, thanks for posting!!

Amazing. Been looking for one for quite some time. They do not show up very often. Have you had it for some time or is it new to your collection? 🥰

Wow! That's super-rare. Be sure to post it up here on July 17th when we have Apollo-Soyuz day 😀

Incredible set. My favorite speedmaster of them all - even counting the 2915s and 2998s!

totally honest question.. why is that? what is it about these that makes them so desirable?

I don't know... Horses for courses I guess. Having owned both straight and lyre lug speedies, the latter sit better on my wrists. And of the latter, I loved this one from the moment I saw pics of it - its the only speedy I'd dream of barn-finding in a dilapidated store somewhere...

No box or papers here either 🙁. Not too bothered to be honest.
I could easily live without box and paper even with one of those 😀
