... parts are no longer being made for this. NEVER throw away hands, etc. better still, do not change them IMHO. I agree with the comment above of @Spacefruit
Value will be destroyed (in the eyes of collectors here, I'd say) if you send the watch to the wrong person to service.
If you want to sell, don't service it. Hope you keep as a treasured item from your GF. So...If you're gonna keep, be patient and read through the forum to get a sense of what you should or shouldn't do as you NEED to give clear instructions to whomever will service the watch.
To service .... I would recommend @stefan as well if in London, @photo500 if in Australia. They both have stellar work posted here on the forum
