Love the dial and the case/lugs of the Seiko. Just looks so comfy on the wrist. Which one do you prefer?

It's tough to see in the photos but the Seiko has a thicker case and a bit more weighty than the Tag so the Tag is slightly more comfortable to wear. I do find that I wear the Tag more often than the Seiko but the Tag is a more recent arrival. When the Seiko arrived I was blown away by the quality. The Tag is nice as well but didn't take my breath away like the Seiko.

Also tough to see in the pics, the Seiko has an inky black gloss dial whereas the Tag has a flat almost charcoal dial. Possibly the biggest difference between the two watches.

Great pair of watches. I almost bought that Tag with a blue dial last year before picking up my AT.

Thanks gents. Yes, the AR is very good on the Seiko. Really the crystal is invisible for the most part.

Thanks for doing this post and for the whole bunch of pictures, I did see a caliber 5 at an airport duty free shop, and I was very impressed with the quality and finishing.

So I'm astonished to read that you thought the Seiko was more impressive than the TAG

Again thanks for the post!

For me, the Seiko wins in the Quality for the Price point every time . Great comparison pictures too.

That is really good to know! Although I should not be surprised, I can see it on my Sarb033

Tag make some of the most comfortable watches to wear. Have a early Tag Heuer link and has to be the most comfortable bracelets I have ever worn

Thanks. The Tag is for sure a good looking watch but it seems the Seiko has just a bit more going on.

Seiko seems to lack flare with their bracelets. They are comfortable but lack that final X factor.

Seiko all the way. Was in NYC a few weeks ago but booked solid. I need to carve out time to check out the boutique. Seiko seems to be an insane value proposition in my view. The design is conservative but clean and the finishing is just stunning.

They're both nice. But given the choice between the two I would buy the Tag.

Thanks for the additional clarification
