Seiko Repairs

I recently found my dad's 6139-6005. Still in decent shape but needs some work. Seiko repair in NJ no longer has the parts. Can anyone recommend any credible repair shops or services?? I am in the greensboro NC area, but travel to NY or would ship for a shop that does reliable work.
Appreciate any thoughts or advice.

You can find a few recommended watchmakers on the wristsushi site, in the "watchmaking services offered" section. I have sent several watches to Adrian Sellick (vintagetimeaustralia). Spencer Klein (kleinvingtagewatch.com) is highly recommended, but as far as I can tell, he's still not accepting new work; you might doublecheck. Also Duncan Hewitt in the UK (thewatchbloke).

Christian+co (watchguy.co.uk) does good work on Seiko 6139s as well.

I hope you have luck with it it is a great watch and the fact it was your dads makes it priceless. Do you know what’s wrong with it? I see some with really bad dials and hands for sale that are allegedly running fine. Don’t know if it’s worth the risk but just a thought. Either way one of my favorite watches and I wish you well.

Ashton has just finished my 6139. He is also an OF member and Seiko specialist. He is on your coast so shipping should be fairly quick.

You have a wealth of good options. Congrats on your Dad's great taste in watches and to you for having the good sense to get it serviced. Wishing you many years of enjoyment.

Thanks for the reply! It needs a stem, and the top button has become stuck. It has never been serviced as far as I know, but always ran and kept good time. Feels like a good time to invest in memories and a nice watch.

Thanks for the tip and appreciate the reply! Having someone reputable is key so many thanks! Hopefully will be a great piece to keep in the family for the next generation too.

I echo the recommendation for Ashton Tracy, if you don't mind sending the watch to Canada. He is actually set up to install jewels in some of the weak spots that wear and will chase down parts through alternative sources.
