路Well, I have my eye on several vintage pieces so this has gotta go.
This is the iconic Seiko Marine Master 300 SBDX001 with the Grand Seiko based 8L35 automatic movement and monocoque case. The polished and brushed surfaces on this watch are really stunning. I believe the MM300 cases are hand finished in the same small factory where the movements are assembled and regulated by Seiko's master watchmakers.
The watch is in excellent condition. Normal signs of wear are evident in hairlines on bracelet, rub marks near clasp, hairlines on polished case sides, small ding on 9 o'clock side of case (I've tried to capture this, but it's hard to see in pics), and scratches on bezel. (As well as tiny scratches near lug holes put there by a careless previous owner). Dial and crystal are perfect. Movement is keeping COSC time on the wrist. Bezel rotates as it should.
The scratches to the bezel insert run from the 5 min mark to 10 min mark, and then a lighter scratch from 12 to 20. I've tried to capture these in the pics, but they're difficult to capture with the camera.
This comes with Seiko box, all links, Prospex tag, instructions, undated warranty card, unworn (by me) OEM rubber strap, and non-ratcheting Seiko clasp. I'm guessing the previous owner swapped the clasp for a better fit. Apparently the MM300 ratcheting clasp makes the watch sit quite high and can be a nuisance on smaller wrists. As it is, this watch sits very comfortably on my 6.75 inch wrist. (For what it's worth, Seiya carries the ratcheting clasp delivered worldwide for $108, but this clasp looks identical anyway).
Asking US$1500 inc. EMS insured, tracked shipping worldwide. Would also consider a trade for: vintage Doxa 300T (Pro or Sharkie), vintage Rolex "gateway" (ie. entry level) models 34-36mm, vintage chronographs, etc. If you have something you'd like to offer, hit me up. The worst that can happen is a polite "no thanks". 馃榾
I've completed several successful deals on DWC, WUS and TKNZ and can provide references if desired. Any questions just PM or email and I'll get back to you as quickly as I can. Please bear in mind the time difference if I don't respond immediately (both watch and I are in NZ).
Thanks for looking.
