Hi all,
Just curious, when did Omega start putting the hippocampus sea emblem on the back cases of Seamaster watches?

"Introduced in 1956, the seahorse logo was engraved on the caseback of the Seamaster and the Railmaster, which was primarily a water-resistant watch with specific protection against magnetic exposure.

So, with the 1957 launch of the trilogy collection in (consisting of the Seamaster, Speedmaster, and Railmaster), Omega issued a line of professional watches engraved with the new mythical seahorse logo.
The emblem was officially adopted in 1958 to signify the Seamaster's water-resistant capabilities

So the exact year is 1956, 1957 and 1958? Glad we clear that up lol.

Yeah it's hard to decipher. Seems to say that they engraved the first caseacks with the seahorse in 56, didn't sell any until 57, and made it official in 58.
