Seamaster 300M Diver Summer Blue 1 Month Review

It has been a month since I've purchased my Seamaster 300M Diver Summer Blue on the metal bracelet. My friend helped me get it from a local HK Watch Shop for a 25% discount on the offical RRP. The 1st thing I have to say about the watch is that you really need to look at it in person in order to experience. The way the Summer Blue color of the bezel and the dial changes to a different shade of blue depending on how the light reflects off it, makes it a joy to look it. I have white lights in the rooms of my apartment, the bezel and the dial looks like a metallic cyan blue. In a darker enviroment or a place with warm yellow lighting the bezel looks like a royal blue similar to the blue of the original Brosnan Bond Seamaster, and the dial has the dark ocean blue effect. Now I know that allot of people hate the new 5 link metal bracelet. To me the new 5 link metal bracelet feels just as good as the original 5 link metal bracelet. Normally I would prefer the glass case back so I can look at the caliber 8800 movement, I do like the 75th Seamaster Aniversary Posedon case back. This watch has become my daily wear.

Anybody who is interested in getting one, I would highly recommend going into the Omega Boutique and trying it on. You won't be disappointed.

Yeah, I glance at my SMP 300 Summer Blue all the time. Sometimes I would be sitting on my couch drinking tea and just look at my watch. I still find it amazing that the shade of blue changes depending on the way the light hits it

That Summer Blue dial looks incredible. This and the Seamaster 300 Heritage Summer blue are my favorite blue dial watches from Omega. Congrats and enjoy!

Coming onto the 2 month mark now, my Summer Blue has been on my wrist everyday. I really love it and I have no regret getting my Summer Blue over a refuribished 2220.80 full set. The clasp has got quite a few scratches on it, which is typical as I work a desktop job as an IT Systems Engineer, I have a couple of lite scratches on the steel bevel, which is hardly noticable unless you really look for them. The blue ceramic inner bezel still looks as new as I got it.

Again anybody looking to by Summer Blue SMP 300M Diver, I would highly recommend trying it on. You would probably fall in love with the bezel and dial like I have.

The Summer Blue 300M is a great watch, but for me - I eventually flipped it for the Planet Ocean. I found the blues were a little darker and the transition from the light to dark hues when in the sun was a little more defined. But they are both nice watches!

Nice Summer Blue Planet Ocean, it's a nice watch. But for me I had to get the Summer Blue SMP 300M Diver as it is just a major upgrade over my Brosnan Goldeneye Seamaster.

Love the blue dial, it's calling me. I have the Seaweed but there is something about this Summer Blue dial. Love it, enjoy your Seamaster, they are fantastic watches.

Enjoy your Seaweed, I did consider it while shopping for a new SMP 300M Diver. The Summer Blue just looks so good in real life, I love wearing my Summer Blue SMP 300M Diver

Yeah, Omega hit the ball out of the park with the design of the Summer Blue SMP 300M Diver! The cyan/baby blue indices, way the shade of blue of the bezel and dial changes depending on what light hits reflects of it. Is the reason I brought my Summer Blue SMP 300M Diver over the other modern SMP 300M Divers and the 2220.80. Don't get me wrong all the modern SMP 300M Divers are excellent watches and look great. But you can see that Omega had allot of fun designing the Summer Blue SMP 300M Diver

I bought the regular blue. I took it to the store yesterday to get the leather band. It really does pick up the light from the sun in different ways and is a joy to look at. Not only that, but it tells time.

Having said that, I think next year, I may buy the summer blue planet ocean 600M. I like the butterfly clasp steel band. I will have to check the feel of said band. The steel band that would have come with the blue dial 300m is sharp to the touch. According to ai, the steel band on the planet ocean feels more refined.

The regular Blue SMP 300M Diver is nice, glad that you are enjoying it. I do like the splash of red on the Seamaster text and on the tip of the lollipop seconds hand looks nice.
