Restoring a 2000 era chronograph CK1111

I am looking at a ck1111 chrono but it has a large number of scratches, particularly on the bezel. Can anyone help me regarding sources for people who do such work and perhaps whether Tag Heuer is the route to go for servicing as they would perhaps have access to a new bezel assembly? thanks in advance

Hi Doug
Common problem with these due to the polished raised section. Many years ago I had TAG polish mine as part of a service and they did a fair job. They can probably provide a new bezel for a reasonable amount, I wish I had done that at the time.

thanks aquagraph. is there anyway to determine if they have a replacement (just calling?) to see if they do have them? i don't mind a used look, just not a beater look.

The first thing I would do is to call TAG and see if they have a bezel to sell you....or...search ebay for one.
Or, you might consider purchasing a 2000 with a good bezel, swap with yours, and sell the watch you purchased with your scratched bezel. The difference in price from the buy and sell would be your cost for the bezel.

BTW...Tag charges $680USD for a service on an old quartz. That's not including parts. See group 8.

Jesus, how much! I'm sure they charged me £300 in 2019 and that included polishing etc. And that was more than I paid for the watch.... hahaha

Oh, but mine was a three hander, not a chrono to be fair.

I'm thinking a good watchmaker could polish that bezel and have it looking like new.

Also, minor detail but the title of this thread indicates the model number as CK1111. The CK 1111 is a classic 2000 chronograph with a white dial. The watch pictured by the OP is a 2000 exclusive quartz chronograph with a black dial, CN1110.
