Are those bids legit? [Don't know anything about that piece.]

If it's a genuine first execution 2446, then I would not be surprised about a 30k+ Euro final price. Has 177 watchers last time I checked. My guess is the bids are optimistic & legit.

Not that it's relevant to the watch's value, but I wouldn't wear that thing with its ridiculous looking (albeit rare) hands if you paid me to! 馃榿

Very interesting to see how this one ends! $30k after one day on eBay!

This is a rare variation of the first execution...only a few have shown up for sale and the previous one sold for over $25k.

Holy smokes this watch is a beauty. Love those hands. Is this the "grail" of Heuer watches?

For me the first execution 2446 is a grail. Not sure I like the hands on this particular offering though.

depends on your preferences...I prefer several other references. Supply and demand though...Heuer was a small company and they didn't make as many watches as some of the other bigger brands.

What other references do you prefer? Just curious since I am a big Heuer fan. Thanks.

My favorite watch is the 2447NS/SN...but I also love the later 2446/3646's and the early 2446 w/o the full lume hands. Also the Camaros, especially hose with contrasting registers.

Well now we'll never know what it would have gone for honestly. It's done been Hoodinkee'd, so it'll go for 1.5X-3X it's value.

Great references CajunTiger. These are the cream of the crop. You are not fond of the Siffert? This is my 2446C.

Not really a fan of the Siffert...wouldnt mind having on in the collection, but not willing to pay the premium for a watch I would probably never wear. Don't like the automatic Heuers, they aren't very accurate and are too thick and heavy. Love the 2446C, have a couple and is probably my most worn watch.

I doubt Hoodinkee will have any effect at this point, the guys that are willing to pay a premium for this were already bidding...it only takes two to reach a record price.

Same here my 2446C gets a lot of wrist time together with my speedies.
