Morning coffee and fell down a rabbit hole chasing a horse I knew nothing about.

In particular a Rado Golden Horse, now from limited information I can gather this reference is a " reissue" I think between 2007-2012 Japanese market only.

Reference number is 658.3833.2 but can't find much more about them. Does anyone have any more insight in to this particular model between this time. Note it doesn't have the red date dial similar to the original release in the 1950's.

Whats with the Swiss branding then what's seems to be " 011" this the year ?

Where did you get the info about it being a 2007-2012 re-issue? Do you have a link to that.

On the watch. If someone asked me what I don't like a watch to look like I would probably describe exactly this watch. I don't like all gold and I don't like gold mixed with silver however.............I like it. For some reason these Rado's have got a hold of my attention at the moment and watches I would never have thought would appeal to me are. lol

With yours being a 2007 modern watch, this doesn't apply but I am a wearer-collector rather than an investor-collector so resale values don;t matter to me much. I want to wear things I like and have not too much worry about redials or even refurs if the watch looks good. I do mean good redials and refurbs, not a backstreet franken mashup with a poor redial. But I do have a couple of frankens that I keep and I wear because they are well done, the watch works and keeps decent time and most importantly because I like them. I am no purist! I polished the little Omega symbol off the middle of my crystal because I get annoyed by the little shadow it casts, ha, ha.

Why did I add that lot of text? Because I am looking at cheaper end vintage stuff. Probably a lot cheaper than yours cost you but I have seen some older vintage ones completely refurbed (only the movement and dial base likely to be original) that look like yours and if one takes my fancy at the right price I will probably buy it 😁. Pretty much narrowed down to the horses. Don;t like the other styles or case shapes so will it be green, purple, gold horse or one of the rare other ones I've yet to come across.

Congrats though. I like that watch a lot. I would wear that quite a bit 😁
