Hello,

It's been a couple months I was reading posts on Omega Forums and now I'm excited to have joined it.

I was wondering if there is a specific place on the website to post watch pictures and ask for valuations?

Looking forward to being part of the community, thanks.

hey nineteen69, welcome to the forum. You'll make friends if you post logs of pictures!

look for the WRUW thread - What R You Wearing - for tons of great wrist shots.

if you're starting a thread, try to put it in the right forum. for Omega, either Modern or Vintage. For other Brands, pick a forum for the Brand if there is one, or post in the Other forum. General questions go in the Open Discussions forum.

congrats on already posting an avatar. now go post something in the wruw thread!

Best not ask for valuations, people might think you're trying to get round the sales forum rules. 馃槈

So we can't get any valuations?

Sure you can, just don't mention that you are thinking of selling.
If I ask for a valuation and then decide I would like to sell, can I create a separate thread in the marketplace?

If you ask the mods nicely and can provide references from a few past watch sales, then I don't see why not.
If you don't have references then you need to get involved with the forum and post a couple of hundred meaningful posts before you are allowed to advertise watches for sale.

I looked at the sale section and rules and everything is clear apart that I don't understand what's the difference between "Watches for Sale" and "Private Watch Sales", seems like the same kind of sales are posted on both sub-sections. Can anybody explain please?

Watches for sale is the section for dealers making a living from selling watches for a profit.
Private watch sales are watches for sale by genuine enthusiasts who don't mind selling at a loss if they need to fund another watch purchase..
