We're all mostly stuck inside. I've purchased some new camera gear and have some more spare time for pictures. I thought we could create a thread to post some of this stuff. I'm using a Canon 5D Mark II, these were taken using a Tamron 90 mm macro lens/Canon EF 24-70 mm. I'm using natural daylight and an Icelight2 for lighting. I'm open to feedback, I'm looking to improve my game! If you guys think you have any tips, particular re: lighting I'm open to hearing them.

Recently shown in the Watches with a Story thread. My 1920s Elgin “opera” watch in a 14-karat white gold case, diamond set. Opera watches were pocket watch sized, but with a wrist watch movement (an Elgin 5/0 size movement), they were much slimmer than most pocket watches.

February 9, 1971 the Apollo 14 crewmen listen to official greetings aboard the recovery carrier USS New Orleans following their safe return from the Nation’s third manned lunar landing mission. Stuart Roosa, left, Alan Shepard, centre, and Edgar Mitchell are housed in the MQF - Mobile Quarantine Facility, which they entered shortly after arriving aboard the prime recovery vessel.
Note both Stuart Roosa and Edgar Mitchell were clearly wearing their personal Rolex GMT-master Pepsi pilotwatch.

Thank you!! Hoping to post a few additional pictures soon. Canon 100 mm EF IS F2.8 lens on the way, should make for some good macro!

Here's one more that I took last night. I'm having a hard time getting indoor lighting just right. The Icelight2 is OK, but I still find it's harsh compared to natural daylight. I might look into getting some lightboxes/diffusers.

This is my constellation 2852 from '56.

This is more a photograph of what a friend has been doing to while away the time. Composition of the photo nothing special, but I find the subject intriguing.

Canon 100 mm f/2.8 L IS using focus stacking. Had to manually focus stack about 8 shots. Not perfect but not the easiest to do!

The halfmoon right over the roof, that's an easy one. But the triangle UFO above it is not bad either.
Here is my iphone moon (without UFO).
