Rarest, or seldom seen? To specify rarest generally means that you know how many of a particular model were made. Do you know that the subject Omega qualifies as rare?

Posted mine in the other rare thread

After I consulted the rare definition thread

https://omegaforums.net/threads/how-do-you-define-a-rare-watch.81650/

But please don’t let @ConElPueblo know we are talking about rare again as he’s a well done guy. 😉

As title sugests :rare,limited edition,hard to find,Etc....

You call the subject watch rare. Well, okay. How many of that specific model were made? You call it rare. You should have an answer to that question,

In a different thread a moderator wrote the very true

...as long as members are appropriate and polite they can answer as they please, giving what ever information they choose. This is not a sales post so there are no restrictions, sorry you don't like the responses, but I don't see anything that appears inaccurate ... When you start a thread you do not own it.

Something to bear in mind 😀

I think my aversion to the term stems from reading loads of sales adverts where it was used to justify the high price. Unless a watch is "objectively" interesting (I know that objectively is a poor term) then I can't see how rarity should add any value. Also, who really knows if a specific vintage watch is rare? I don't.

Edit: I also object to the sub forum this has been posted in 😁 /old fart

To add something remotely interesting to the thread, I'll post a few pieces that I find are both interesting and probably not that common:

Two Certina DS amagnetics.

An early DS with the funky diver's style dial, but with golden dial furniture and a gold plated case. Only one I've encountered.

Beautiful 👍
I think Cetina made and makes beautiful and quality watches.
But are you saving some cookies for later ?😗

PS:
The left one with orange markers looks like the seamaster 300 right ?

Have a look at both Railmaster and Ranchero to find the inspiration😀

I have this watch, I have no idea if it's rare or not. I cannot find one, which is specifically like this one on the internet. I recently inherited it from my grand father. Do you guys have any idea what model this is? (Omega Seamaster, without date, non-automatic, as most of them do have).
Thankyou in advance 😁

See your other thread and keep all comments etc there. It reduces confusion.
