This year there’s another 50th Anniversary very linked to the Heuer Monaco... Last week I was in Stuttgart visiting the Mercedes-Benz and Porsche Museums, and there was this special exhibition for the 50th Anniversary of the Porsche 917! 🥰

What a cool car. Apart from looking sensational, the other thing that is amazing about these race cars is how flimsy there are- the driver is surrounded by a couple of steel tubes and a small tub and lightweight body. You had to be a special kind of brave to punt these along Le Mans at 3am in the rain.

The Grand Tour did a segment on the 917 for the 50th Anniversary.

A real highlight was 78 years old Dickie Attwood giving the 917 the beans vs. the GT2 RS. And he's not even wearing a helmet!?
