ยทHi Folks,
I have just bought a second hand Formula 1 Calibre 5 with a few small scratches on the silver perimeter of the bezel. I recently purchased a Silverline polishing kit with a wide range of rotary polishing tools. Is there any danger of damaging the ceramic inset if I inadvertently generate too much heat while polishing the adjacent stainless steel edges.
Also, can anyone recommend the grade of sandpaper to replicate the effect of the brushed finish on the case and on the clasp. I can get very fine silicon carbide paper between 2000 and 7000grit. Is it better to use the paper, wet, dry or with polish.
Thanks, Barry
