I have consulted my pic library on this model. I actually vote for it being a genuine first version/execution case (edit - from what I can see in the pics posted here - I can not see the auction. What is the "prototype" part of it - did it say that in the auction text?). Dial and bezel I do not care for... The gap showing at the crown, moving the bezel, is just because it lacks the proper inner ring for the glass.

The sad thing is that I would really have wanted to buy this one - as I have a correct NOS dial and bezel for the first version case. However - I would not have paid a premium - for something with that dial and bezel. It would have been a real rescue - though - of both the watch and my parts.

You have to search for the item number "181668859841" from http://www.ebay.de, or else it will not be visible. Do not follow the link here. Cut and paste into a new browser, or it will just redirect to the US site and you still can't see it.

The seller has blocked bidders from the USA.

Hope this helps,

I came in second place... Could not justify more than 1800 Euro on that info.

I would have to see the inner markings, should be a serial number on the back !
The real ones have a small arrow on the back of the case, it indicates where to stop screwing the case down. Hope this helps !
