Those are very evocative images. The Rua da Prata, located in central Lisbon, translates to "street of silver", and, as you might guess, there were originally many silver and jewelry shops located there.

I'm not certain about this, but the image below could be of an earlier, more silver-centric iteration of the shop, a bit further down the street.

Just came across these images of shop displays at Relojoaria Torroaes in Lisbon.
Don't know if these might have been posted earlier at some point already…..

Certainly these photographs are brand new to me. The optimism and embracing of a brand new modern world practically radiate through those shop windows. Incredible to actually see UG at the top table with Patek and Longines, as one is so used to reading that they were.

Thank you so much for posting these. What a company. What watches.

Yesterday I saw this in a used bookstore. It had a few UG photos and an advertisement. Like the OPs beautiful photos, perhaps these are new to you?

I wonder how anyone chose between Omega and Tissot. Was Tissot to Omega like Tudor to Rolex?
