Check put polerouter.de (I think). That is the definitive website for these watches

Amazingly impressive. Chances are an 18k solid gold dial, too.

Thank-you.

:O Is that yours or did you get the pic from somewhere else?

That's very, very interesting... I wonder if some upper level member of the management of the airline had it originally.

Hi -I thing that you are right, that the watch may have been awarded to a upper level member of the SAS management as a sort of....medal for long an loyal service. No , the picture not the watch is mine. I took part in the auction 19th April 2011. The winning bid was 14.000SEK. Below some more details about the watch:
UNIVERSAL, Polar Outer De Luxe, automatic men's watches, 1954-55, marked in the works / dial / case, white works caliber 138 SS, bumper automatic, 17 jewels, gold colored dial with SAS logo, gilt numbers ring with dash, center seconds hand, case and bracelet with gold 18k, 36 mm diameter, total weight 78 g, the SAS original case; works, bracelet not original
I personally thought the watch rather gawdy , wish is why I didn´t buy it.

At the same auction there was another very fine universal watch that I regret that I didn´t bid on thought. Details below and picture enclosed:
UNIVERSAL, Pole Router Date, automatic men's watches, 1958-61, marked in the works / dial / case, white works caliber 215-1, microtor, 28 jewels, black dial with gold numbers ring with dash, center seconds hand, aperture for the date, case and bracelet of 18k gold, diameter 34 mm, total weight 83 g; works, the bracelet with little damage

Winning bid:15.000SEK
Best regards,
Fidjeland

This one has reached USD 4650 , 28 hours before closing !!!!!
This is Omega Grand luxe territory..........🥰

This is shill bidding territory. Look at the 0 feedback bidder shown as 'g***a' - pooching each bidder to their maximum. That watch is maybe worth half that amount with a lot of luck.

There was an identical NOS dial on the bay a month ago? I fully expect this to be re-listed very soon. I have yet to see one go for more than 2k in a straight auction, granted this is in superior condition.
