Are you saying that what it seems to be a ring with a printed tachy is part of the dial and not the crystal? Photo above.

The Carrera in your photos doesn't have a tachy scale, just a chapter ring with minute and second divisions.
The numbered tachy scale on the Carrera's that have one is printed on the dial edge as abrod520 says.The chapter ring is a separate part.

You mean the chapter ring with the minutes / seconds track. A tachy track looks like the red numbers printed on this dial:
