How could you tell it was fake?
Because of the number of bezel knurls, the bezel pip, the grey dial print, Seamaster 120 in wrong place, too consistent patina lume colour. To name just a few.

Look at this beauty! It even uses a couple of stock photos of the real thing in the listing.

Is "fake" the right word? the seller seems to describe in good detail that it is a frankenwatch, repainted, aftermarket mercedes hands, etc etc. I guess I would have thought "fake" means that the seller is trying to portray it as something it is not without disclosing what isn't original/real. I'm not defending, it is more a point of clarification for calling something out as fake.

Everything apart from the 565 movement is a replica.

Then they've made it out to look like a refurb so they can sell them. Just look at how many replicas with genuine movements they've sold.
