Of course the best way to see many pictures of Vintage Zeniths is simply to read through all the posts in the Zenith Forum. Vintage is pretty much all the Zenith guys around here collect 😁 .

Mine is a cal 133 from 1848-49. Yours is a cal 133.8 from 1959. The cal 133 beats at 18000 per hour and the cal 133.8 at 21600. The cal 133 has its bumper springs fixed to the piece that stops the rotor, while the 133.8 has its bumper springs attached to the rotor itself.

My 133 was not a certified chronomètre, but this cal 133.8 was... technically identical to yours and also from 1959.

cal 2522 - I was sure that it is the first Zenith movement with date....

untill i found Zenith Horodate with cal 106-50-6 most likely from the French factory from Besançon

In the category of early movements with date, don't forget the cal. 71

Very unusual piece! Thanks for sharing. You've photoshopped part of the serial number away, I gather, but there's enough to date the movement to 1952-3, a couple of years before the adoption of all the Martel-based 25xx calibres and the development of the cal 71.

case number is 900363 and cal number is 401612 - I think that boys from France had their own numbering....
