Think of the screw heads as beauty spots.

I'm not sure you're thinking at all. this thread isn't a discussion of design.
No one asks what your opinion is of the screw heads. Not one!

What exactly is the purpose of this thread, in your view?

It is debatable if they are any worse than the Omega cheap and nasty fake knurling on their crown. (tinfoil cap).

Apart from that it is the best looking watch I have seen, so far.

If you don’t know the purpose of a thread. DONT RESPOND TO IT.

Learn to read, then learn basic online etiquette. Make your Queen proud.
Where on this thread asks you to debate anything? Keep your unsolicited opinion to yourself. Read the topic of the thread. Don’t spread your garbage to every thread. This ain’t Facebook.

I know the purpose of the thread. Although I make it a general rule not to say unkind things, it is obvious (edit: should be to anyone with half a brain) to all that the purpose of your thread is expressing your inner drama queen, and trying to buy self-esteem by making others jealous.

Lol @dpwaber sometimes hard to tell over the internet but I'm hoping this is just a little sarcasm on your part.
Otherwise, I think it is clear who the jealous drama queen is...

Seriously, if this forum isn't for everyone to enjoy the jimmy-wagging of others, why are they even here?

Somebody buys his grail watch. Why would you want to be unkind or critical? Just be happy for @ngo516. It's bad form what you're saying about the watch. Sometimes just think and dont say. It's just like real life.

up close with the tapisserie dial
Awesome stuff.

I remember back in 2017 or 2018, I made my way over to the NYC AP boutique and got see some real grails for me. The YG 15202 with champagne dial and the RG 15204 skeleton dial. The SA at the time was like you should buy it now because these won't be around forever but sadly I don't have $60k+ to drop on a watch.

15202 YG is striking. It's like staring into the sun. You can't help but keep staring. We were both probably visited the same boutique talked to the same SA. It's amazing how the pandemic gave rise to pieces that were practically offered at a discount, not long ago. Jumbos and open-worked are now HQ allocation only. No exhibition pieces in the US yet.

New gal catches a lot of light. A bit much for my liking. That bracelet is too iconic to swap out. But, for daily wear I might have to go with a rubber option.
Don't do it! I used to daily my 15400. Just accept the fact that you're going to get dings and scratches on the watch.

Does yours have the sapphire caseback? If so, can we see a pic of the movement?

I've had my Roadster bracelet pop open if it's been "too tight" and I flex my wrist. I put too tight in quotes mostly because it doesn't seem like it should be tight enough to pop but it's tight to where I like to wear it. The guy that used to work at my Rolex AD told me he could fix it with a little "tweak with his pliers" but I never got there before he left. It seems like a semi-common problem with butterflies that aren't worn a bit loose
