On A Ship = Rust // On Omega Dial = Chocolate?

Spent some time along Lake Huron. Last year it had a lot of ice. None this year. I managed to get close to one of the ships. Always impressive. The rust matches my sub-dials.

What do you think of the dial? Rust? Chocolate? Or some other word?

All original thanks. Freshly serviced and I did get new crowns and pushers so I can wear it without too much worry.

@p4ul I do have polywatch but I think this crystal is mineral. Would it still work?

Poly won't work with mineral. People have polished mineral but with machines. Those people are generally not fun at parties.

I knew my watchmaker was a fun guy! I like a few scratches anyway. No fear of scratches. And I think P4ul would be fun at party. The waterrroopness and all.

I have polished mineral glass using a Dremel and various grits of diamond polishing compound. Honestly, I don't recommend it unless you have absolutely no alternatives. It's extremely tedious and I have never been able to get fantastic results.

Why is she running so high? I almost thought she was in drydock at first.

Or just an unloaded bulk carrier... not used to seeing bow thrusters out of the water.

Docked. Likely waiting for a load of salt. But I am not an expert. Is that propellor out of the water too much?

Well the prop out of the water that much is going to beat the hell out of the driveshafts, and without bow thrusters she is going to have a hard time navigating a river as well as stationkeeping


It’s a bulk frieghter so I guess it’s entirely possible that she is never meant to be away from a dock with no load or ballets.

are you sure she runs salt? She is owned by a steel company.

Interesting. Port of Goderich. Lots of salt but also agriculture. My guess for this time of year is salt. There appeared to be a crane deployed. All I know is that’s a big ship! I’d love to experience life on one of those, for a short time.
