Does the chronograph minute recorder move when the central seconds hand passes dead on 12 or just before after the 59 second marker making a time of 59.6 seconds for example falsely displaying a time of 1 minute 59.6 seconds?

In my experience, the minute hand pointer jumps to the next minute very slightly (maybe 0.2s) before the second hand hits top dead center. That said, in practice, I have not been able to get my chrono to show a "false reading", even when I've deliberately tried. I use the chrono a fair amount, and have never had an issue with the way the minute hand works. Actually the opposite- the "jumping" minutes are easier to interpret than a smoothly-advancing minute hand would be.

Nice review. I also use the timer a lot and never found a problem with the minute hour tick over. I have seen the reports and have noticed the tick over is a fraction of a second early, but I still have never been able to get it to read wrong despite actually trying too.

Great review thanks... I had my heart set on this watch with the black alligator leather strap and nearly ordered online... glad I didn鈥檛 now as tried on at Singapore airport and was really disappointed with the strap. Is it me or is the width of strap just too narrow? It just didn鈥檛 for me anyway do the watch any justice at all. So I鈥檝e gone for the metal bracelet and am over the moon(excuse the pun) with my purchase.

Out of interest are there any after market straps anyone would recommend? Wider strap and thicker? More dressy than rugged?

Thanks in advance... first post great forum btw...
