·I have been looking at this series of Seamasters for awhile, and had finally decided that I wanted one with an unpainted bezel because of the wearing and scratching. Would actually have liked to get a steel bezel with engraving, but when this one with the plain round bezel came along I thought that it would be a fun daily wearer. It passed the timegrapher with flying colors, under +-10 seconds in 6 positions. While that no longer qualifies it as a chronometer it certainly testifies to the original build quality, considering it has been somewhere around 30 years since it ticked it's first heartbeat. I wear this new friend frequently, which is unusual considering the number of watches that I own. A dear friend has been hinting around that it might be better suited to his smaller wrist. So if I can locate a similar one with the larger case I might give it to him at my cost. I really enjoy the 2892-A2 based movement. It winds silky smooth and though it doesn't visually have that wow factor that the 500 series calibers has, it certainly doesn't lack decoration. I read the forums enough that I avoided the 2500 caliber series of early co-axials
. I think when I do acquire a co-ax, it will be an 8500.
