Actually for that matter how are you finding windows RT? I've never actually met a single soul that owns a Surface or WinRT yet, and I meet nerds for a living lol

I work for Microsoft, so I'm not unbiased. There's stuff i love about win 8 and rt, but they don't feel as finished as they should. Win rt - you need to need the battery life to make the restrictions on apps worthwhile, but last week skiing in Spain it did everything i needed with 7-8 hours battery life even watching video. Roll on the next versions, where i suspect there will be a lot of cleaning up. Win phone 8 does kick arse, and OF2 looks great on it. Biggest problem.with rt is no outlook client, which is where i live...

Having seen him basically have an embolism catching an employee using one, i cant believe he would. I honestly don't know why he'd want to either - the winphone has integrated social networking (all feeds in one place), office and lync which means it makes more sense for enterprises.

Hi - windows 8 and ie 10, windows rt and ie 10, and windows phone 8 and whatever the hell that browser is - if it doesn't work on the phone ill just use tapatalk.
WP8 runs Internet Explorer 10 mobile, which shares some of the engine/codebase with the desktop version of IE10. We haven't really catered to viewports that small at this point, but it's coming in the near future. It should run "ok" now, given that the engine itself is pretty respectable.

I did some brief testing with Windows 8+IE10, there was no significant issues. It will get a proper testing+bugfix run when 惟F2 is complete.

With WP8, we really don't have any convenient way to do device testing. Having to reboot in to Win8 just to run the WP8 sim is really annoying. I'll need to try to get it running in a virtual machine at some point, but it seems like Microsoft should be providing a more accessible WP8/tablet virtual machine for testing. In many cases, designers and web developers are stuck in the Mac ecosystem (all of the best tools are here + unix-like base).

We'd be happy to fully cater to WP8/WinRT, but can't really justify the cost of the test hardware (given the relatively small user-base). If you can magically pull some strings to score 惟F a loaner/dev unit, we'll put in the hours to make sure everything works 馃槈

The browser in WP8 is a huge step forward from WP7.

I'm using tapatalk too..(iPhone 5) it's sending repeats of the same notification...nothing has changed within the app. Is is supposed to be different?

As for the mac, it's very clean and easy to use. Will take a bit of adjusting but it's user friendly! 馃榾

The Tapatalk side has almost nothing to do with us... It should be all the same from that end.

For the Safari/Chrome side of things, definitely post your thoughts, criticisms, ideas, requests here. 馃憤

I'm an IT Manager and so have a variety of platforms on which I'd be happy to test the new forum software. My preferred OS is Linux and at present I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS with Google Chrome Version 25.0.1364.97.

Cheers

My that was fast! Thanks very much for the quick switch over - it's cleaner, clearer and with a lighter feel - looking excellent.

Great. There was some brief testing done with 12.10 + Chrome 25. Should be fairly decent.

Oh... and Freetype might be a bit different in 10.04 (not sure). Let me know if anything looks unusual/ugly 馃榾
