Omega Constellation Calendar Cal. 504 - Seeking Case Back & Advice

I trust that you’re all doing well. I’m reaching out for a bit of guidance regarding my latest acquisition, an Omega Constellation Calendar Cal. 504. The piece is in rough shape, missing both its crown and case back.

My watchmaker has inspected the movement and confirmed that it’s in good enough condition to be serviced. I’ve managed to source a period-correct crown, but locating an appropriate case back (which I believe to be ref. 2943, based on my research) has proven quite difficult.

The dial shows its age and wear rather honestly, and I intend to leave it untouched. My goal is to bring this historically significant timepiece back to life as faithfully as possible.

I’ll attach a few photos for reference. Any leads on a case back, or general insights from those who have tackled similar restorations, would be deeply appreciated.

Many thanks in advance for your time and expertise.

Kind regards,

Looks like it has been through a fire and is heat/smoke damaged
Hi Cristos. Yes, that's very possibly the case.

Yes, finding a case-back could require patient hunting. Given the overall condition, it's not something I would pursue, but if you're interested in restoring it, then best of luck. I'm not sure what specific question you are asking.

I would try to find a custom made glazed caseback . They show up on ebay from time to time...
