I have a question regarding the date-change behavior of my Omega Constellation with the caliber 1011 movement.
I noticed that the date wheel begins to shift slightly toward the next day at around 11:15 PM, and it stays in this intermediate position until about 12:15 AM, when the date fully switches.
Is this normal for this movement, or could it indicate an issue with the date-change mechanism?
The watch has recently been serviced and otherwise runs perfectly, so I’d just like to confirm whether this behavior is typical for the 1011.

··Omega Qualified WatchmakerThat's normal, although the final flip is typically closer to midnight - that is just how the hands are set on in relation to the date change.

Just to be sure. Is it also considered normal if the final flip sometimes happens around 12:15 AM?
I just want to confirm that a slight delay past midnight is still within the expected behavior for the 1011.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it, but if it bothers you, you can ask the watchmaker to remove the hands and reset them. There's always some risk when you start tampering with a watch, though.

·It's not a matter of expected behavior, it's how the watchmaker set the hands, as @Archer noted. The hands don't know what time it is.
