I picked up this wonderful and very preserved Omega. So from what I see it has never been serviced. Excellently preserved dial with no marks. The arrow light is still active and glows green. At least I really like the many identical numbers on the serial number. I also have a period matching buckle.

That's a beauty. When you refer to the "arrow light" being green, do you mean that the lume in the hands responds differently than the lume on the dial?

I think he does mean the hand-lume. To me that lume looks different enough from the dial and from other examples, I can't help but think the hands have been replaced/relumed at one point.

I’m fairly sure these had steel hands originally, not white. A lovely watch but there’s a good chance the hands are service replacements.

Edit: I’m going to retract that statement as a quick google suggests it may well not be the case.

Very striking design and excellent alignment on the serial number. I would love to know more about these chronographs.

I like this model a lot. What also makes it special - it has a step dial.
On your watch, the crown might not be original. I have seen thicker one used. But, not 100% sure.

Also, I have a feeling that this model looks better with metallic hands, not painted, but who knows how it came out of the factory...

Congrats ! That's a very nice and timeless design IMO.
Regarding hands and crown I am no specialist but they look very similar to the 3 black dial examples available on C24 right now from FR, BE and IT, so my guts feeling tells me it looks good.

Anyway, enjoy it ! and share wrist shot when you can 😀

I am 100% sure that everything is original! As well as the crown, there is a notch in the bezel itself for easy winding. In my opinion, it has never been serviced - judging by the screws on the mechanism.

I have had two, both with withe hands. It cannot be excluded they also came with silver hands though.
