Omega 625 - Plastic medallion for calibre marker - Safe cleaning methods?

Have a cal 625 with a plastic medallion insert for s/n / calibre marker. Anyone have advice for what type of cleaning solutions / methods are safe for this?



I assume Omega knows how to make a good movement, but this feels like a pretty Micky Mouse solution; dirt & grime under the medallion, & printing not even close to being on center...

Could remove it & then glue it back in, but seems like there should be better options than this (& hopefully there are).

Ive run these through the ultrasonic with an ammonia based cleaning solution and also never had any issues.
