Gino, dibs is when and if you ever decide to sell your watch that person would like first chance to purchase it.

Gino, when someone calls DIBS, but there is no chance you are going to sell a watch, you can call Charles Bronson to help you make that clear:

I wouldn't let that one go either!😁

But if you change your mind, please note my "dibs" was first in the queue. 💰

Oh, you did! So sorry. That will give me time to sell a house.

getting back to the original topic - adjusted two 2 positions - is there any consensus as to whether this is appropriate for a speedy, or may it imply a transplanted seamaster 321?

There seem to have been enough examples posted to indicate they were correct. Usually cited as those destined for the U.S.

Wondering what percentage of early Speedmasters were delivered to the States.

My guess would be anywhere between 1/3 to 1/2 of Speedmaster production, depending on the year. Probably a bit less than that for Seamaster chronographs.

I doubt it is anywhere near that today.

There's an Adjusted Two Positions example pictured on page 259 of Moonwatch Only. It's not addressed directly in the text on that page but the caption says that the 2998-4 was delivered to the U.S. in 1961.

As a slight difference, my early Seamaster is engraved with 'TWO 2 ADJUSTMENTS', the serial is 15997xxx

Thought I'd revive this thread rather than start a new one on the same topic - and this one has such a great entrance from Mr Balbi.

Mr Bambi says earlier:

"ADJUSTED TWO 2 POSITIONS is engraved always togheter OXG on the balance bridge ( OXG is Omega code for USA market) so if you ask an Extract of the Archives to Omega of such a Speedmaster it results delivered to USA"

So, if a movement is marked Adjusted Two 2 Positions", it should also have OXG? Are there Adjusted movements that weren't destined for the US? Can a movement be marked OXG and *not Adjusted?

Thanks for feedback!

Yes to all of the above. Anything is possible. Depends on the model and movement caliber.

I can't tell for later refs., but for the earlier ones, pre-1965, either in Seamaster, Speedmaster or chronographs c. 321, all "Adjusted" have "OXG" US export code and vice versa. If one is missing, then it is most likely a frankenwatch.
