I don't care about the ads but I do care about the well-being of my Forum.
It's been a companion, a hobby, a knowledge source and a meeting place where good friends gather for the last 8 years or so (for me).
It's definitely been invaluable during the pandemic.

Hats off to Trev and Ash!

I assume a membership brings in much more revenue than viewing ads?

Actually, I found the eBay ads very appropriate- finally- as opposed to adult diapers (only appropriate for the pub crawl). I actually clicked on a few to see the listings.

Would me not subscribing potentially see revenue for the forum more that my $100 subscription for OF considering my frequency here....?
(If I can make more money for OF by not subscribing the ads don鈥檛 bother me)
This is a good question. How many pages must be viewed to make up $50? $100?

I think I view a lot of pages a year......

Does it have to be auto-renew? Can we not be sent an automatic message as the year end approaches and do a manual renewal? I know that it鈥檚 better for business to create purchase inertia, but when I disappear because suddenly my interest in vintage watches has been replaced by a desire to start breeding rare fungi, I鈥檓 going to want to use the money to support the i鉂わ笍Mushrooms forum and I鈥檒l have forgotten that I鈥檓 still funding you watch nerds.

I know I can put a note in my diary reminding me to stop the subscription, but, well frankly, I鈥檓 not very good at dealing with that sort of high level financial management.

Meanwhile, I鈥檓 more than happy to be a supporter.
