Octo Missilemaster

Does anybody have some info on this Octo at all? From what I gather the curiously named ‘Missilemaster’ model was introduced in 1959 so sits nicely within the space race/Cold War era.

This is the first one I have come across and seems to be the only one I can find pictures of with the same day/date complication. I absolutely love the look of it though. I am assuming it to be an early one based upon the styling and slight dial patina.

Very cool. Is the cyclops very effective or are the numbers on the date wheel oversized? They look huge and thus nicely readable.

Numbers and date wheel are what I would consider ‘normal’ but the cyclops lens is particularly effective!

Very nice watch! I’ve never heard of this brand before.
Yes, they are pretty unusual but all seem to be very nicely styled. I haven’t yet managed to find pictures of another quite like mine anywhere online. The slight patina on the dial really sets it off against the original bracelet I think.

This is the closest I have managed to find online so far. No day/date function though.
