I'm actually in the market for a nixie clock. Unfortunately, some of the tube pricing has gotten ridiculous.

·The bulk of that is what turns me off. I thought of building a Nixie clock but, I dunno, I was an electronics tech using HP equipment with Nixies in them and not terribly impressed.

This model uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. There's a micro-USB port on the side. A charge lasts at least a few weeks if you're wearing the watch every day. Lasts a few months if you don't. The tubes turn on when you twist your wrist to look at it, and you can set the angle.

·They are as new production but the early generation models are still trading for $1500+
That's really surprising. Forbes is the guy who made the Woz watch, and still makes that same model. There's nothing particularly different about the older watches compared to the newer ones.
