and sweep second? Haven't pulled out any references to compare, but it strikes me as off.

They had this piece for quite a long time. I would not be surprised if they lost a bit on it.

14K twisted lug 3-COmpax from Bain for $7477

Goofy replacement pushers and crown, but looked in order to me otherwise. Don't see these come along every week.[/quote]

A friend of mine sent me this picture some weeks ago saying this one has been sold to crazy price (he mentioned a $15K budget...)

Difficult to say if that one comes with the right hands combo but pushers and crown don't look better to me

That hands combo seems appropriate for that particular dial (judging based on the similarity of that dial and the similar ones seen in the stainless cases, of which I believe you have an example).

Here's the one that we discussed recently:

The pushers and crown are different than the ones on Bain's--and I'd lean towards original for the pushers, which at any rate are more appropriately sized for the case.

Looks all correct to me except for the crown. The pushers are correct and match mine. My crown is not original, but a better match than this one. This auction makes me thrilled with the gamble I took on mine. I am now on the hunt for a steel one like pictured above. Oh, and may try to get my black panda back too.......;-)

This one is 100% original and also has the larger pushers. I like the larger pushers as they balance the watch better.

Do you think the pushers and crown on the watch that started this thread are the same color gold as the case?

I think it is okay. It looks from the pictures on the auction that there may have been some tarnish or just shadows on the case. I think the upper left lug matches the pusher color. I also assume pushers are plated and the case is solid so there may be some color difference over 40 years.

I like the larger pushers on the Tri-compaxes with the tachy bezel. On the gold or bezel-less versions, the large pushers seem to overwhelm the right side of the case. Just my $.02
