路Finally snapped some poor quality phone pics to post. A couple of you may recall from an earlier post that I have been looking for a grey dial 281 ever since I sold my last one. When Lou got his it made me want another one even more. Unsolicited I received an email from someone looking to sell his watch. He found me on the internet having listed pictures and want ads before. At first I though it was a scam but, after many conversations, a few pictures and asking a vintage watch dealer to be an intermediary (long story as to why) I finally pulled the trigger. The watch was sold to me by the son of the original owner. He claims his father wore it for a short time and then put it in a drawer where it sat for 40 years. Based on condition, I believe him. The watch is mint original condition with no marks or issues. Needless to say I am thrilled. The dial is a dark slate grey/blue. He sold it to me stating it was black so I was even more thrilled when I received it!
comes with original box, papers, hang tag, plastic envelope for papers and manual and original shark skin strap and signed buckle. It even still glows at night.
