Just wanted to make a little post about a newly acquired Carrera of min. My dad gave it to me a few weeks ago for my wedding. I don’t know a ton about it, so if anyone has any info, let me know. It’s a ref CV2111-0 Carrera re-issue from the mid 2000’s. I just think it’s a really beautiful watch. Let me know what you all think!

Congrats. This model was part of the second wave of reissue Carreras that Tag did in the late 1990s/early 2000s and featured an automatic movement, sapphire crystal as well as a slightly larger 39mm case. My first ever nice watch and Tag Heuer was a CV2113 (same as yours but with the white daytona rings) that I got in 2013 to celebrate my 40th birthday. I have since sold it but have always had a Carrera in my collection since.

Congratulations on your wedding and your new to you watch.
These reissues were made from 2002 til around 2008. I really like them. Here’s my CV2111 and 2113 either side of their CAR2210 cousin.

Great choice and my first watch too, which I still have. Have also has the 2110 and 2113, so watch out because its a slippery slope! 😁

Congrats!

Looks like I was wrong about the advice I gave you on WUS about being from the early nineties (before they switched to three letter model numbers).

Seems I've forgotten about the ubiquity of TAG offering up a dish of nostalgia in the form of a re-release. Like a machine gun.

You still need to get it serviced. And it's still an ETA 2894-2 (with all the modular goodness that comes with it).
